A great effort is being made to standardise wearing apparel for hikers so as to do away with some of the ugly styles of walking clothes seen on the English roads last season. A parade the first of its kind, has just been held at Nottingham by the Notts and Derby Federation of Ramblers. A contrast in shorts and skirts for hiking.
